Messina - the third largest city in Sicily

Our stress-free drive in Messina....NOT

the famous bell tower of Messina (I can't get the picture to stay upright)

inside the Church of Messina

This famous bell tower has one of the largest astronomical clocks in the world. At 12pm every day all the statues on the tower dance around.

early morning

I took Gene to work at 4:45 am so I could have the car for the day. I got back home at about 6am when the sun was rising so I had to run inside the house to get my camera :) I walked across the street to get some good photos while being eaten alive by mosquito's. I am slowly getting used to having bites on my legs at all times, but I think when we move back to California I will be very thankful to be rid of those nasty little pests.
